Are Spurs Interested In Dragusin?
The Telegraph’s Matt Law has claimed that the Lilywhites have looked at the 21-year-old centre-back as a possible option to improve their squad in the upcoming window. He also adds that the club’s scouts watched him in action during Genoa’s 1-1 draw against Serie A title contenders Juventus last week.

With Micky van de Ven out of action with an injury problem, They are prioritizing the signing of a new centre-back to fix the lack of depth in their backline. Law reports that they have stepped up their pursuit of signing a defender as soon as possible in January. However, it is added that Genoa are confident of signing Dragusin to a new long-term contract that can have an effect on his price tag.
However, the 21-year-old’s agent Florin Manea recently revealed in an interview that the Premier League heavyweights had held discussions over the possibility of signing him, telling ProSport: “With Tottenham there was only a discussion about Radu. There is interest from them, we will see what will happen in the next period.”
Are Tottenham Looking Into Anyone Else?
Ange Postecoglou basically confirmed in a recent interview that the Lilywhites will be looking to sign a new centre-back after failing to sign a replacement for the departed Davinson Sanchez in the summer window. Interestingly, Spurs are also reportedly looking into other options having been strongly linked to OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
It’s clear that the manager is eager to add another young defender to lower the average age of his squad as well. Dragusin, who has been hailed as “dominant” for his defensive skills and is a graduate of Juventus’ youth academy, helped Genoa get promoted to Serie A earlier this year and helped them keep three clean sheets this season. The 21-year-old is the hard-working, progressive centre-back who can be a nice fit for Tottenham, but it remains to be seen if they can get a deal done next month.
