Four-star athlete Rahshawn Clark announced his commitment to Washington on National Signing Day, February 7th. The Seattle native currently attends Garfield High School where he plays wide receiver and cornerback and also returns kicks. Clark originally committed to California back in June of 2023 but flipped to Arizona in December. After signing his National Letter of Intent in December to play for Jedd Fisch at Arizona, the coaching changes for the Wildcats and Washington altered the course of his decision. Clark was granted release from his NLI and re-opened his recruitment before ultimately committing to the Fisch and the Huskies today. His commitment came down to Arizona and Washington and was announced live on the 247Sports Signing Day Show.

Rahshawn Clark Commits to Washington

Clark is listed as an “Athlete” on recruiting sites because of his versatility on the field. In 2023, he had 34 receptions for 574 yards and seven touchdowns as a wide receiver. He rates best as a slot wide receiver with his 6’-0” frame, but can also excel on the other side of the ball. Defensively, Clark played cornerback for Garfield and possesses some of the better ball skills at that position in the nation. Much of that can be attributed to his talent as a wide receiver. Clark also averaged 14 yards per kickoff return as a senior at Garfield. It is not certain at this point which position Clark will play at Washington. He was going to play receiver at Cal, and it’s likely that Fisch and staff give him opportunities on both sides of the ball to see where he best fits this program.

Clark is listed at 6’-0” and 180 pounds and is the sixth-ranked player in the state of Washington. The Seattle native becomes the 15th member of Washington’s 2024 recruiting class.  Clark is sixth among that group with an 88.56 rating according to On3. The new Husky had 13 offers out of high school including Oregon, Michigan State, Mississippi State, and Colorado, among others.
